Boards line the walls waiting for the next guild member to ply his craft.
Owner and chief laminator, Greg Martz, had a vision of creating the best glass shop in Southern California. Combining the techniques he had mastered, along with a talented crew, the Waterman's Guild was born in 1983 to meet the higher demands of the new generation of surfboard manufacturing. With our manufacturing roots going back to the early sixties, Waterman's Guild occupies a unique space in the surfing industry.
Specializing in color lamination, Waterman's has a reputation among professional surfers and shapers as the premier glass shop in California. Shapers like Harbour, Bruce Jones, Matt Barker, Matt Moore, Robin Kegel, Hobie, and Jed & Greg Noll have been coming to the Waterman's Guild for years to have their shapes waterproofed.
Every surfboard is built solid, using the finest products available to insure ultimate performance, while maintaining strength and longevity. The GM thumbprint on the tail of every board that comes out of the Waterman's Guild insures its quality.
Waterman's Guild provides shaping, glassing, airbrushing, finishing and fin placement for surfers, shapers, and surfshops around the world.
